Can I use the images on this website for my own website?

Yes! Please do! You can use any image on this website for free as long as you give attribution by providing link back to me to help spread the word.

You can link back to me in one of two ways.

Method One:
Copy & paste this strip of HTML near the photo.

This is what it should look like.

The link must be visible to a human. You can’t do things like place a blue link on a blue background or make the font so small that it can’t be seen, etc.

Method Two:
Make the image a link and use “Hawaii Pictures” in the “ALT” tag. The “ALT” tag creates a situation where descriptive text pops up over the image on mouse-over.

Can I use the images for print?

Absolutely! Similar rules apply… If you use the image in print, you will need to give attribution by giving credit to this website using this phrase: “Image provided by Photos-Hawaii.com”. Again… It must be large enough and have sufficient contrast to the background to be readable.

Can I scrape the images off your website and sell or redistribute them?

No! – You can not resell or redistribute these images. I still own the rights. I only allow limited use. You can’t do boneheaded things like sell my images or use use my images to create a website designed to compete with me.

Nothing would make happier than to see my images spread all over the internet. One of the best ways is for you to be generous enough to link back to where you got the image so others can also benefit. Please link to me even if you are not using my images.

I’m not making any money at this so please don’t abuse the site or I may be forced to take it down.

I took all the pictures myself and it should be perfectly legal for me to post and distribute the images for others to use. However… It seems like there is always someone who wants to take advantage of a situation, make trouble for others or just doesn’t have any common sense. You never know what might happen so here is some legal stuff designed to protect me if anything goes wrong. Hopefully we can all enjoy the use of these images without any unpleasant situations.

Also… Please remember that I am posting these images in the hopes that you will use them. Please don’t let the legal BS scare you off. It’s not directed at you, unless you’re some sort of wacko.
